I’ve had a problem as of late. I’m being followed. But here’s the thing, I don’t want to be followed. Especially when it’s all the time. There doesn’t seem to be any escape, and it’s just driving me crazy. Everywhere I go, I know I’m being watched. And then there’s moments when it feels like those watching eyes were just waiting for me to enter the room the whole time.
It’s the cat. She won’t stop following me everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE. If I go outside, she goes out too. When it’s time to play, she wants to see what I’m doing. Eating time? Yup, she’s right there watching me too. Like I ruffed, it’s really annoying.
It ruffles my tail even more when it’s potty time and she’s got to be there. That one really messes with me. My pal is usually with me, just in case the cat feels like pouncing when I’m most vulnerable, but it’s just bothersome.
So what do I do? I really have no idea. I’ve tried barking my friend into getting rid of her, but that was a no. Besides, I really don’t think we could catch her. Yeah she’s always lurking and watching, but it’s always just out of reach where you’d definitely be in for a chase if you tried to get her. Clever cat.
With the constant spying and minor annoyances, it can really drive a dog to sleeping. I just want to take a nice long nap and chase some butterflies in dreams or something. But lo and behold…the cat had moved into my spot! She was sleeping in my nice comfy bed. And the worst part is, when I tried to evict her, she just stared at me with those piercing eyes. When I told my friend, he just laughed. This is not a game.
Things were getting serious. The next morning for breakfast, guess what I had. Go ahead, guess. The cat was munching my food tidbits. Oh, that was it. There was no getting over this one. The chase went on until the cat elevated herself to the top shelf of the bookcase.
The victory was only for a moment. The staring would only continue. Everywhere I go, I can’t get a moment to myself by myself anymore. I don’t know what to do anymore. My pal told me I’d get used to it, but I don’t really see that happening. What should I do? I don’t know, anyone got any ideas?
